A Mindful of Colour


 
 
 

Adult colouring in books have hit the stores on mass. I am spotting them everywhere. This is an activity that can be done with friends or family, simply set aside some time for a play date!

Why the sudden hype… well if you find meditation difficult then here is an alternative. Colouring-in is a 100% mindful activity that totally brings you into the present and helps you to feel less fragmented. And, you will end up with a pretty picture to hang on the wall or give to someone! I like it!

By the way, meditation is not about clearing the mind (pretty tricky considering our mind is designed to think). It’s about allowing and creating space for whatever is there for you. Noticing but not getting too hooked on where your mind takes you, instead to simply observe without judgement.
