Hi, I’m Kyrie, founder of Kindred Self and proud crazy cat lady!
For the past two years, I’ve volunteered with Lucky Little Paws Rescue & Adoption, a small, heart-driven Adelaide charity saving cats from the streets, from death row, and from properties where they have been abandoned.
Over the past two years, I have:
+ Trapped 7 cats all on my own!
+ Fostered and re-homed 8, and personally provided a home for 6 cats
+ Saved 2 cats in emergency situations - one cat with its head stuck in a can, and another trapped in a down pipe.
Lucky Little Paws has grown into a sanctuary for cats who can’t be rehomed - the timid, the elderly, the unsocialised, and those with special medical needs.
Here, every cat is given the gift of peace, care, and dignity, and often a cat or kitten ready for adoption is listed on Lucky Little Paws Facebook page or on PetRescue.com.au .
Too many animals are euthanised each year due to irresponsible ownership - but Lucky Little Paws believes every animal deserves a second chance, no matter their story. Being part of this charity has deepened my love of cats (and all animals) and the incredible humans who quietly care for them.
