A Perfume Alternative?

Are Kindred Self Pulse Point Rollers an alternative to commercial perfume?

I often get asked if our pulse point rollers are a natural perfume... the short answer is ‘Yes’, but they work a little differently to mainstream commercial perfumes.

Big brand perfumes that you buy at the chemist or dept stores contain ‘synthetic fragrance’ and in general synthetic fragrance is super strong and sticks around. When you wear perfume containing ‘fragrance’ you smell the aroma as soon as you spray it on, then after a while you don’t smell it anymore, but instead everyone else smells it when you pass by. Some people then apply more perfume thinking it has worn off, when in fact it is still there, your nose has simply ‘tuned out’.

With our natural pulse point rollers, the way they work is kind of the opposite. They contain only pure & natural botanical oils, so in general the aroma is much more subtle. You roll them on as and when you want to smell something beautiful, something personal and special to you. They only last on your skin for up to 15 mins before the aroma dissipates...But they become something you choose to apply regularly for you and only you when you want to have a mindful aromatic moment, and reconnect with yourself.

Smell is an extremely personal thing, we all gravitate towards different scents. Some love florals, some herbs & many enjoy citrus. Personally I choose to use a product that is healthy and feels right for me, and something that won’t offend others like very strong perfumes can. Aromatherapy ticks all these boxes. It’s a win win because it keeps everyone happy and well.

Did you know?
Fragrance vs. Essential Oils

Fragrance = synthetic chemicals
Essential Oils = 100% natural

Fragrance = a strong perfume
Essential Oils = subtle, more gentle aroma

Fragrance = aroma only
Essential Oils = aroma + therapeutic properties ( physical, mental, emotional support, antibacterial )

Fragrance = man made in a lab
Essential Oils = made in nature

Fragrance = can represent up to 3000 different chemicals
Essential Oils = is the oil extracted from a natural botanical

Fragrance = used in perfumes, reed stick diffusers, candles, incense, scented products, supermarket brand personal & cleaning products, washing powders, scented bin liners, scented toilet paper etc
Essential Oils = used in pure oil blends, diffusers, DIY cleaning products, natural products, natural food flavourings.

May you be well!
